A Band For All Occasions

For the purpose of accommodating most venues A Band For All Occasions can provide:

VIVA the Trio for a party, gala function, or special event.

VIVA the roving Trio for marketing, themed event, festival, corporate function or private party.

VIVA the party band quartet with two vocalists, percussion, Guitar, Keyboard /Bass and Accordion.

VIVA the party band quartet can be upgraded to a quintet or six piece show band and dance band with the addition of : saxophone or jazz violin and drums.

The bands perform a variety of music styles including: Swing, Latin, Jazz, Salsa, Cabaret, French, Spanish and popular tunes.

VIVA THE TRIO
VIVA (the Trio) comprises: Peter Rappolt, Guitar, Marie Rappolt Accordion (doubling on bass) and Morris David, Violin.

The Trio is an excellent alternative to a string quartet performing the same function and creating a romantic rather than formal ambiance.

The Trio are the core musicians of Viva the Show band, they began performing at Jazz Festivals in 2002, both as a trio and a sextet show band, gaining many successes at: Newcastle Jazz Festival, Morpeth Jazz Festival, Manly Jazz Festival , Gold Coast Jazz and Blues Festival and the recent Yalumba Thredbo Jazz Festival. The trio also regularly perform for a host of Sydney venues including Sydney Olympic Park Authority, Darling Harbour Venues, Historic Houses Trust, Coca Cola Amatil and Summit Restaurant to name a few.

The Instrumentation and style of "Hot Club" Jazz performed by the trio create a distinctive French nightclub band sound, skillfully blending a mix of Swing, Jazz, Latin, Salsa, Spanish and Gypsy tunes with: Marie Rappolt (accordion and bass) providing the melodies supported by Peter Rappolt (Spanish Guitar) and Morris David performing Stephane Grappelli style solos on Jazz Violin.

On Occasions the Jazz Violin is substituted with second guitar, percussion or saxophone.

VIVA THE PARTY BAND - QUARTET
The party band is a very popular and economical quartet for parties and special functions performing primarily as a cabaret and dance band and comprises:
Peter Rappolt: Guitar, Marie Rappolt: Accordion/Bass, Gerri Santos: Vocals/Percussion, Jose Santos: Vocals / Congas / Percussion / Bass.

Viva (the party band) perform a rich tapestry of music, skillfully blending: Swing, Jive, Jazz standards, lively Latin, Salsa, Gypsy Jazz, and popular French and Spanish songs sung in glorious harmony by Gerri and Jose.

The party band is particularly noted for the amount of charity work they do, performing in excess of 90 concerts annually to disadvantaged persons.

VIVA THE SHOW BAND - SEXTET
The show band began performing in the late 60's and have worked Internationally and extensively through Australia.

The founding members are noted for their performances throughout Asia with over 400 concerts to American armed forces in Sth. Vietnam, Thailand, The Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Guam and Japan.

The members also performed at major hotels throughout Asia

Viva project as a high energy show band performing cabaret and dance music, skillfully blending: Jazz feature tunes, Jazz standards, Swing, Jive, lively Latin, Salsa, Gypsy Jazz, and popular French and Spanish songs.
